HackSTEMThink is a virtual hackathon from 8/15/2020 to 8/16/2020. The competition is completely free, and participants can compete individually or in groups of up to 4 people. Registration is open to rising 4th-10th graders across the world. No prior coding experience is required. If you are interested in competing alone, then fill out the form only once. HOWEVER, if you are competing in a team, list your team members AND have them submit separate forms as well. Teams can be a mix of people from different states, cities, schools, grade levels, and genders.
**Note: If you would like to work in a team but don't have team members in mind, we will randomly assign you to a team with other participants who don't yet have a team.
About the Event
A hackathon is a competition where participants work in groups of up to four people and have 24 hours to create some sort of technology (app, website) that addresses a theme or issue. HackSTEMThink’s theme is mental health, and participants will create a program that addresses a mental health issue in their community and/or aims to spread awareness about mental health. Participants will have the chance to win exciting prizes of up to $1,000, ranging from cash prizes to gifts from our generous sponsors.
